Rancors are monsters with large teeth, claws, and armored skin that can absorb blaster bolts. Their planet of origin is unknown, but they can be found on many planets, including Dathomir and Ottethan. They average ten metres in height, but Damothiri rancors are commonly. They have rudimentary intelligence, and can be domesticated with difficulty.
