Myrkr is a fictional planet in the Star Wars Expanded Universe.
It is a largely forested world, home to the ysalamiri, creatures which create bubbles which push back the Force. This abillity has evolved to protect them from pack animals called vornskrs, the only known animals that hunt exclusivly by sensing the Force.
The ysalamiri are no more than 50 centimetres long. Individual ysalamiri create a bubble of at least 3 metres. Groups can create even larger bubbles. As a result, the entire planet is hidden fron the Force to a diameter of 16 kilometers out.
Due to the fact that, because of the ysalamiri, the Force was not present on Myrkr, the Jedi and the Galactic Republic avoided the planet. The Empire did likewise, making it a perfect location for smugglers and other criminals, such as Talon Karrde and Mara Jade.
