The Fosh were first mentioned in the Star Wars The New Jedi Order series.
They are an avian species, enabling them to fly at will. The only Fosh mentioned in all the Star Wars books was the Jedi Knight Vergere.
The Fosh, as a species, never had a large population on their planet, preventing them from becoming an influential race, as humans are in the Star Wars universe.
