Duros are said to be among the first spacefaring species, including humans. They are known for their superior astro-navigational skills. Two duros can be seen in the cantina scene in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. Duros are possibly related to the Neimodians, the aliens in charge of the Trade Federation in the prequel films.
Their long, turquoise faces and large, buglike red eyes make them bear a resemblance to the common stereotypical green-headed, big-eyed alien.
